Our Pastor
Reverend Dr. Michael Wade Jiles was born on January 9 to Oscar and Anna Jiles of Braithwaite, Louisiana.
Dr. Jiles faithfully serves as the Senior Pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dalcour, Louisiana. He remains committed to God’s calling on his life and continues to preach, teach, baptize, marry, counsel, and carry out the work commanded by God. Through his preaching and teaching, many have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
Dr. Jiles is a graduate of Phoenix High School in Phoenix, Louisiana, where he completed his studies in May 1979. Driven by a deep desire to grow in the knowledge of Almighty God, he later enrolled at Union Baptist Theological Seminary of New Orleans, Louisiana, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology in 1998. He continued his theological education at Christian Bible College of Louisiana, receiving his Master’s Degree in 2010. On June 23, 2015, he earned his Doctorate Degree from Slidell Baptist Seminary.
In addition to his pastoral duties, Dr. Jiles serves as a professor at the Christian Ministers Missionary Baptist Association School of Biblical Studies.
Dr. Jiles is married to the former Pamela Williams and is the proud father of Michael Jr., Marlon, and Matthew. He is also the proud grandfather of Michael III, Maci Renee’, Matthew Jr., and Marlee Raye Jiles, and father-in-law to Lani and Alexis. He is the son-in-law of the late Herbert Williams, Jr. and Irma Cross Williams of Phoenix, Louisiana.
Dr. Jiles previously served as President of the Christian Ministers Missionary Baptist Association and is an active member of the Louisiana Home and Foreign Mission State Convention.
Above all, Dr. Jiles gives all glory and honor to Almighty God. He firmly believes that if he remains faithful to God, God will remain faithful to him. Because Jesus lives, he confidently faces tomorrow.
